Cedar Rapids, Springfield, MO, Remote DEPARTMENT:
TRAVEL: 5-10% IT Infrastructure - Systems
JOB SUMMARY:
The Infrastructure Systems Manager reports to the VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations and is responsible for managing the Infrastructure Systems team which isresponsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of QCRH’s Systems Infrastructure.
Beyond overseeing general support and maintenance, the Infrastructure Systems
Manager will partner with IT leadership and key stakeholders to design,deliver and maintain solutions that meet the business needs.
The Infrastructure Systems Manager position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, experience leading projects, mentoring team members and task prioritization. They will share responsibility for disaster recovery and business continuity preparedness in order to efficiently re-establish operations in the event of a disruption, both minor and catastrophic. This position requires a service-first mentaility and an understanding that strong collaboration throughout the organization is of critical importance not only to this role but the department as a whole.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Infrastructure Systems team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Facilitate ongoing learning and skill development for team members through mentorship, and professional development opportunities
Encourage cross-training among team members to promote versatility and flexibility
Continually encourage a service-first mentality within the Infrastructure Systems department
Work with senior leadership in the continual assessment of policies, procedures, and best practices regarding Infrastructure Systems
Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and development
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
Stay current with emerging trends and developments in technology related to
Infrastructure Systems
Provide technical guidance and support to team members and other departments
Execute Infrastructure Systems projects and enhancements from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints
Install, configure, and maintain various infrastructure components as needed such as servers (physical and virtual), cloud platforms, storage and backup solutions, M365 suite, Exchange Online, Teams, and other enterprise applications
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for continuously improving or further leveraging these systems.
Conduct research on software and systems to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
Participate in ongoing Disaster Recovery planning and testing in order to ensure systems are available during an actual disaster situation
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or at least 7-10 years of relevant job experience
At least 5 years of supervisor, manager, or leadership experience preferably within Information Technology
Experience implementing and maintaining systems such as datacenter components and enterprise applications including but not limited to servers
(physical and virtual), cloud platforms, storage and backup solutions, M365 suite, Exchange Online, and Teams
Proven experience with capacity planning, KPI performance reporting, systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices
Demonstrated strong project management, analytical, and problem solving skills
Strong customer service and service first mentality
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with demonstrated conflict management skills
Proven professionalism and excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and non-technical business language
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Adherence to business policy, change control policy, compliance requirements, regulatory requirements
Evening and weekend work as needed
Travel to facilitate training, conferences, and on-site implementation or abatement of systems hardware as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
