Who We Want: 

The HR Coordinator role based in Fremont, CA, will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions. These responsibilities include staff recruitment, benefits administration, managing the onboarding and departure processes, and fostering employee engagement. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will handle general HR inquiries and provide administrative assistance to the HR team. Furthermore, they will extend support to the Engagement Committee and offer support in coordinating and planning companywide events. 

What You’ll Work On:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by drafting job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, screening candidates for entry-level roles, and conducting background and reference checks.
  • Support administrative tasks, data entry in the ADP system, and correspondence with candidates.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, coordinate new hire orientations, and prepare new hire benefit and policy packages.
  • Handle various aspects of benefits administration, including processing insurance enrollments and cancellations, managing Open Enrollment, maintaining employee benefits coverage in carrier online systems, and auditing carrier invoices.
  • Administer the employee recognition program, manage a formal database, and issue awards for milestone anniversaries.
  • Work with internal and external partners and vendors to ensure optimization of HR initiatives. 
  • Maintain accurate employee data in ADP including, but not limited to, new hire information, termination details of employees, updating organizational structure changes, job titles, salary increases, and other personnel-related data. Payroll support, leave of absence, onboarding, and recruiting (with a focus on hourly workers)
  • Responsible for new hire onboarding including conducting New Hire Orientations, processing new hire paperwork, background checks and I9s, etc.
  • Manage temporary worker process, onboard new temporary workers, and convert and/or extend workers as applicable.
  • Provide assistance in organizing HR initiatives and companywide events.

What You Bring: 

Education Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Preferred- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience working with or supporting the HR Operations and Talent Acquisition team in a growing company.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and use discretion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and innovative team environment.
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with exceptional customer service focus on providing great employee experience to the Q’Apel Team. 
  • Proficient skill in using a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time and work efficiently.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Fremont, California is $60,000 to $75,000 equity benefits. Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as considering the current market rate, and the title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. Q’Apel is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
