We are looking for an experienced Pizza Maker to join our team at PZZA. At PZZA we make 12” Artisan American Thin/Crispy/ lightly Charred PZZAs. It is almost a hybrid of a New York, New Haven and a bar style pie. We also serve Garlic Knots which the PZZA Maker is responsible for. Other than that we serve a variety of Salads, sandwiches, french fries, fried oreos and bottled beverages which our Cook/Prep takes care of with some of your assistance needed at times.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for making delicious PZZAS and will be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have experience with food preparation, be knowledgeable about the PZZA making process and food safety standards, and have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities: As PZZA Maker your responsibilities will be as follows;

• Dough preparation and management
• Pizza and leftover dough into Knots
• Keeping kitchen clean and avoid making mess with dough

• Oven management
• Lighting ovens daily and maintaining and checking temperature regularly

• Made to Order Items ( PZZA and Knots)
• Ensure quality and consistency in product per ownership direction
• Double check orders before handed to customer or delivery
• Ensure delivery is sealed
• If delivery driver delayed, manage pie differently if we have the ability in that time

• Customer service
• Service with a smile and be friendly when engaging with customers.

• PZZA station upkeep and management
• Maintain cleanliness with Soap and Sani bucket
• Maintain stock of toppings

• PZZA Topping prep
• Prep and portion toppings

• PZZA supplies inventory and stocking upkeep
• Monitor supplies and ensure to notify MGMT When stock is nearing low
• Helping make boxes, stocking utensils and sauce cups, etc.
• Having backup prepped toppings for when line toppings are running low

• Assisting Kitchen Worker and Cashier as needed
• May need to assist in Made to Order kitchen items or ringing up an order on POS when other positions are taken up for whatever reason.

• Cleaning dishes and 3 comp sink
• Understanding the proper use of a 3 comp kitchen sink and regularly assisting other staff in running dishes through and getting them onto drying racks.

• Cleaning of station daily several times throughout
• Continuous upkeep of station with sanitation rags and changing of rags and utensils as needed
• Clean counters and glass dividers and all areas in which you work

• Assist in closing sweep, mop and deck brushing as scheduled
• Understanding proper technique for all

• SANITATION
• Required to have food handlers certification and understand food handling procedures
• Washing hands very regularly via warm water
• Understanding how to properly store, tag, monitor and make food for safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
