Part Time Driver with CDL B for Active Production and Design. The Part Time Driver position is responsible for hauling product and gear safely and within all standards and compliant protocols as laid out by the DOT and the Company. 

Essential Functions of the CDL B Driver 

While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other related tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in required company initiatives and projects.

• Drive long distances to deliver equipment/product/gear to customers
• Record deliveries
• Refuel and clean vehicle
• Report road incidents as per Company process
• Follow traffic laws
• Inspect trucks and record issues
• Follow accident reporting procedures
• Follow all Company Safety Policies and DOT regulations
• Keep an activities log and log hours.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
• Plan compliant routes of travel 
• Get gear/equipment/product to the client on time
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers
• Keep commercial driver license up to date
• Other warehouse duties to assist as needed

Required Skills/Experience/Certifications of the CDL B Driver

• Candidates must have an active Class B CDL
• CDL B candidates must provide previous driving experience
• CDL B drivers are required to comply with all Company and DOT safety regulations
• Drivers are subject to a pre-employment drug screening and will be willing to be entered into a random testing program (Per DOT requirements)

Physical Demands of the CDL B Driver

• Ability to push pull and or move up to 75 - 100 lbs occasionally 
• Ability to work extended shifts (per DOT compliance) in indoor and outdoor environments in both cold and hot temperatures
• Ability to remain in stationary position 85% of the time
• Ability to push, pull and or move freight in and out of the truck occasionally using a pallet jack or other non-motorized equipment supplied by shipper or receiver
• Ability to complete paperwork and follow up on administrative duties that require the use of computer, telephone and other office equipment
• Ability to move, traverse a warehouse and office environment to complete all pre and post load pickup and drop off duties
• Ability to communicate with warehouse staff, customers and vendors in a professional manner

Travel

This position may require both day and night and overnight travel for one or more days (per DOT compliance) This position will incur weekend and overnight travel.
