Pyramid Healthcare is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner (PRN) Near Renfrew, PA

Pyramid Healthcare’s Inpatient Treatment Center in Renfrew, PA provides evidence-based and multidisciplinary treatment for men and women in search of meaningful, long-term recovery or mental and emotional stability.

In addition to evidence-based treatment, clients participate in scheduled groups, individual counseling, and a variety of elective activities that support their transition to a sober lifestyle in a structured environment. Our non-hospital program in the Butler PA area provides medically-supervised services to individuals 24-hours, 7 days per week.

Duties:

Collaborate with the agency / physician and exercise flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the practice. A person in this position must be strong enough in their skill set to work independently when necessary and in a way that meets the agency’s standards of patient care. This position also requires efficient use of the agency’s electronic medical record (EMR). This position requires specific flexibility to work within a hybrid model of scheduled and unscheduled appointments (walk-ins).

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting history and physicals in evaluation of appropriateness of initiating medication assistance treatment for withdrawal management, psychiatric care, reviewing labs, monitoring blood levels
  • Provides support and resources to the program as needed.
  • Coordination (with the help of the nursing staff) with the primary care physician when appropriate.
  • Working with the nursing staff to make sure the medications are cost effective for the client after discharge and completing prior authorization requests for medications.
  • Responsible to coordinate and complete the peer review process.
  • Coordination with the Medical Director for medication and treatment of the client.

Active medical license in Psychiatry in the State of Pennsylvania!
