Pyramid Brokerage Company is Hiring a Chief Operating Officer Near East Syracuse, NY

PBC is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). You are responsible for overall operation and performance of Pyramid Brokerage Company. The COO directs and coordinates activities such as strategic planning, recruitment, training, acquisitions, new market entry and opportunities to leverage human and financial resources. The COO is highly involved in formulating the company’s business plan and administering organization policies by performing the duties as described below either personally or through subordinates.

Essential Functions of the Job
  • Chairs Executive Management Committee and Expanded Management Group.
  • Leads the development of long-range goals and objectives.
  • Strategically directs all corporate growth activities, i.e. new market entry and acquisitions.
  • Analyzes revenue, costs and operations and forecasts progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Management Committee and other administrative personnel to review operations, identify risks and opportunities and propose solutions. 
  • Oversees and directs budgeting, purchasing activities and financial reporting for the organization including working capital management with recommendation for cash calls and distributions. 
  • Serves as a primary delegate to foster accountability within the workforce by tracking metrics relative to broker production and success to optimize resources by market. 
  • Leverages technology to create competitive advantages relating to process, cycle time, and overall ability to generate sales opportunities by creating market awareness for PBC to be the broker of choice.
  • Evaluates business cases for proposed business opportunities ensuring support and validate profitability.
  • Enable the execution of the company’s mission and vision by providing strategic, tactical, and practical organizational and operational support.
  • Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies, staffing firms, educational institutions to enable steady flow of potential commercial real estate agent recruits and employees. 
  • Design and Implement compensation models and motivational activities to insure achievement of strategic plan, market growth, and revenue objectives.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources for support in managing conflict resolution, performance management, workforce strategy, employee development, organization policy compliance sexual harassment training and other people related issues, and initiatives.
  • Create, implement, and lead company-wide strategic business development initiatives. 
  • Lead company management meetings by establishing agendas, messaging, and frequency (including the summer and annual company-wide meeting). 
  • Increase brand awareness by building relationships with global, national, and regional commercial real estate firms, law firms, and other organizations associated within the industry to become the preferred partner for servicing their client’s commercial real estate requirements across the Upstate New York market.
  • Serve as the ambassador and primary contact and for Cushman & Wakefield strategic alliance.
  • Provide leadership to the corporate retail office, industrial and investment councils to enhance collaboration, sharing of market intelligence, leverage client relationships to help focus on the markets and enable success by winning business. 
  • Engage in activities, conferences, meetings that add value to the organization including community activities.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure learning and development initiatives align with both individual and team needs with consistent communications and touch points.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory authorities relating to commercial real estate licenses. 
  • Monitors compliance through metrics and identify areas of risk and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree with Masters' degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience of 10-20 years in business, marketing, sales, finance, human resources, operations, or executive management experience required. 
  • Must maintain a valid NYS Real Estate Broker’s License and NYS Driver’s License.
