This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing system checks. This position will assist in identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Area Safety of all jobsites they are working at, both for themselves and all other team members, customers, other vendors or contractors.
Responsible for the cleanliness of all jobsites they are working at. All trash, old parts and materials will be properly collected and disposed of prior to leaving work site.
Responsible for the protection of all property whether it’s customer, Company or common areas and will be held accountable for all unnecessary damages caused.
Must be prepared and available for their continuing education and training in the Fire Prevention, Fire Safety career path.
Must understand NFPA Standards and guidelines. NFPA 25, NFPA 13, NFPA 20.
All Technicians must Admin Sync handheld devices at the end of business Friday.
Secure and maintain vendor/supplier receipts, customer payments on timely basis to office administration team.
Technicians must be available to work outside normal service work hours, with little or no warning, to suit customer needs or emergencies that arise unexpectedly, with management considerations.
Education/Qualification:
At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems preferred
Experience with commercial and residential systems
Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
Must be proficient at the installation, repair and maintenance of Water Based Fire Sprinkler systems, Pre-Action Sprinkler systems, Fire pumps and all related fire protection devices.
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
