The Assistant Service Manager’s primary responsibility is to monitor the everyday operation of the Service department to provide our customers with the highest level of service possible. This will include both employee and customer affairs. The Assistant Service Manager will supervise the Service Coordinator and all Service Technicians. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure customers are satisfied with all aspects of the service department. This includes following up with customers and/or technicians to make sure all service calls/inspections have been provided in a timely, skilled, and professional manner. Overseeing Service Dispatcher and all service technicians. Resolving issues with all service technicians. Daily communication with all technicians and assisting them with whatever information they need to accomplish a successful job. Assisting Service Coordinator with follow-up calls and answering any required questions. Assisting with providing correct part numbers and needed materials so Service Coordinator can schedule return visits. Addressing any type of complaint regarding the service department that are not able to be resolved by the Service Coordinator. Assisting Service Coordinator with creating projects and ordering materials for approved quotes and projects. Will assist with scheduling newly approved jobs with Service Coordinator once new projects have been approved. Monitoring of approved quoted projects. Assistance of project management on all approved quoted projects and service calls to verify all work has been completed. Assistance with the Inspection Department with any technical issues they are experiencing. Observing and assisting all On-Call service activity and technicians with On-Call/Senior Technician’s needs. Assistance with reviewing service invoicing. Assistance in determining if tickets are to be attached to warranties, maintenance, and/or quotes. Monitoring of outstanding fire alarm system tags. Assisting Inspection/Monitoring Manager with setting up new monitoring accounts when needed. Assistance with investigating and collecting past due invoices for monitoring, service, and inspections. Education/Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of Industry Experience. State Fire Marshalls License preferred. Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
