POSITION DESCRIPTION:

PYA Waltman Capital, LLC is seeking qualified Financial Planning Support Specialist candidates to join our growing team. The Specialist provides organizational and analytical support to PYA Waltman Capital financial planning associates, advisors, and the Director of Financial Planning Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support to the PYA Waltman Capital team includes:
  • Gathering and organizing financial planning data
  • Developing financial plan analysis and scenarios
  • Assisting with preparation for client meetings
  • Managing meeting notes and action items for both internal and client meetings
• Assist with project management by proactively managing action items for the planning team, with a focus on moving client engagements ahead as they progress through the financial planning process
• Assist with other projects and research as needed including business partner collaboration and execution of internal initiative tasks
• Serve as secondary back-up to the client service team, including answering the phone and greeting clients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field required
• Minimum of one year experience in the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to financial planning
• Pursuit of Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP™) designation is preferred, but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
