JOB SUMMARY: PXiSE (pronounced ‘pice’), a member of the Yokogawa Group, develops next-generation grid control technology. PXiSE software solutions unlock the potential of distributed generation to improve grid reliability and increase renewable energy output, while helping ensure system balance and power quality. As a Product and Solution Architect at PXiSE, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the technical vision of our cloud product line and supporting the software team with design and development. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the product meets the business needs of stakeholders and delights customers. To achieve this, you will work from ideation to product release to understand, communicate, validate, and document the value of the product. You will work closely with other teams at PXiSE to ensure we deliver high-quality software for our customers. DUTIES/RESULTS: Work with the Product Manager to understand and communicate the product vision and roadmap. Assist the Product Owner with defining product general specifications, requirements, use cases, and user stories. Work closely with the software development team on new and existing cloud products. Provide technical guidance on cloud technology selection, architecture, scalability, and security. Interpret and summarize industry standards, technical specifications, test procedures, and cloud architectures. Investigate technical problems to understand customer pain points and identify technical gaps. Conduct workshops to elicit product vision, roadmap, requirements, and user workflows. Define user personas and communicate their needs and pain points. Communicate with stakeholders to understand and clarify the purposes and functions of the product. Conduct user story reviews with the software development team to refine and clarify user stories. Participate in Scrum meetings including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews. Recommend changes to business processes to ensure reliable delivery of product. Perform internal and joint stakeholder testing to validate product workflows and features. Oversee feature demos and provide sign-off on user story completion. Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions. SPECIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 15 years of experience in business analysis, technical product management, solution architecture, or similar. Expertise in technical communication such as use case diagrams, workflows, and architecture drawings. Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, architecture, and application deployment. Expertise in SQL, Mongo, Cosmos, and other database technologies. Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum. Scrum Certification. Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience with software development and testing. Experience with Microsoft DevOps (source control, backlogs, Git, and CI/CD pipeline) is a plus. Experience in delivering software applications for process industries is a plus. Qualifications: Strong English written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Ability to quickly learn new tools and applications. Domain specific knowledge in energy, utilities, power systems, controls or related fields is a plus. Work Environment: Remote office (work from home) is available to qualified individuals. Up to 25% travelling required including trips to PXiSE office in San Diego, CA on a monthly to quarterly basis. Salary Range - $120,000 - $140,000 Yokogawa is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
