Description
The Director is responsible for administrative and clinical oversight for multiple programs regulated by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports, including coordinating and supervising the work of the staff, program development, productivity and revenue, quality assurance, and utilization review.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Assures that all requisite documentation/charting is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations;
• Supervises case disposition including assignment of cases, assessment, admission, referral, and discharge of clients into services that provide optimal support and treatment
• Recruits, directs, and provides guidance and supervision to all program staff and monitors productivity;
• Oversees program Quality Assurance and Utilization Review;
• Manages crisis intervention and emergencies for program and agency;
• Markets services in order to ensure adequate utilization;
• Collaborates with other community-based programs in order to coordinate services to individuals and families;
• Develops new services and programs that address the identified, unmet needs of the community and writes grants to fund programs;
• Prepares administrative, fiscal, statistical, and clinical reports as requested by the Executive team and required by all Government funders and monitors;
• Collaborates with management on managed care contracts, grants, contracts with other agencies and monitors compliance;
• Establishes and maintains fiscal stability through periodic review of fee determination and status of fee collection; monitors program budgets;
• Provides staff with updated information on agency-wide activities and other related services in the community;
• Provides individual therapy on-site when necessary;
• In addition, the below responsibilities may be required of the position:
Assists with agency and after-hours crisis coverage, intervention and assessment;
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in health-related field along with NYS certification/licensure appropriate to the degree, or eligibility as a qualified health professional according to NYS Mental Hygiene regulations. Casac and LCSW preferred. Three years’ experience in a community based mental health/chemical dependency facility, at least one of which includes supervisory and administrative responsibilities. Must have basic computer literacy and excellent verbal and written skills. Valid drivers’ license required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problem solving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
