Radiology Tech

Provides health care services applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions essential for completion of the procedure. Includes patients of all ages from newborns to the elderly

Qualifications


Graduate of a Radiologic Sciences program approved by the AMA and JRCERT.
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). 
Current certification with the Indiana State Board of Health (ISBH). 
Radiographer fulfilling a competency in Computed Tomography.
Above average annual Radiologic Sciences performance evaluation. 
Current CPR-C or better.
Accurate data entry
Ability to multi-task
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well with a rural health/diverse population. 
Tact and diplomacy when working with other department employees, hospital staff, medical and nursing staff, patients, patient's families, and the general public
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Abides by all hospital policies and procedures
Abides by HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines
