We are seeking five (5) experienced and skilled Camera Operators to join our team as contractors for a prestigious event in Indian Wells, California, scheduled to take place from May 30th to June 3rd. As a Camera Operator, you will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality audio and video and collaborating with the production team to achieve the desired results. The lighting and on-site audio setup will be provided, and your primary responsibility will be to record the event proceedings. Once recorded you will provide on drives, cards, or upload to Vimeo.

Requirements:

You need an XLR drop - bring single mono XLR feed - standard mic XLR male - you will need to have the female jack on their camera.

Over 100 feet long lens capability

Low light levels, bright on stage but need to adjust your own iris

Responsibilities:

Camera Operation: Use your expertise and your own equipment to record audio and video content at various locations within the event. Camera will be stationary, not roving.

Equipment Management: Ensure that your own equipment is in excellent working condition and properly maintained throughout the event.

Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to coordinate shots, angles, and audiovisual requirements to capture the event's essence effectively.

File Management: Organize and manage video and audio files for easy access and post-production editing.

Compliance: Adhere to all event guidelines and safety protocols.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a Camera Operator, with a strong portfolio of previous work in event recording.

Equipment: Must have your own camera equipment suitable for recording high-quality audio and video. Familiarity with various camera models and equipment setups is a plus.

Live Streaming: Experience in live streaming and managing live feed equipment. You must have the necessary equipment (ie: Black Magic box or similar) to provide a live stream from your camera/audio to the Vimeo channel for live streaming. All other aspects of the live stream are being managed.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating camera equipment and a good understanding of audiovisual technology.

Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are crucial for this role. You must be on-site as per the scheduled event dates. We ask that you arrive the day before the event.

Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the production team. We will ask you to participate in a few walk-throughs of the event prior to the event. For example, streaming video to the designated Vimeo channel as a test. Testing will be done remotely and not on site.

Contractor Terms:

This position is offered as a contractor role for the duration of the event, from May 29th to June 4th. Compensation will be discussed during the hiring process, and contractors will be responsible for providing their own equipment.

Contractor will be responsible for their own lodging, transportation and daily expense costs.

We do need 5 people, however you can apply as a solo operator and we will assemble the team. Advantage goes to someone with all team members.
