Dive deep into the heart of agriculture, construction, and government sectors, coordinating, attending, and evaluating trade show activities and industry events with precision and flair. The Field Events & Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating, attending, and evaluating trade show activities and industry events as a vital member of the Marketing Team, with a focus on the agriculture, construction, and government sectors. This role encompasses the execution of various trade show-related tasks and responsibilities, including event logistics and administrative duties. The Field Events & Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role as the face of Purple Wave, serving as a knowledgeable and approachable brand representative during trade shows and industry events. The position requires substantial independence and involves booth setup, teardown, and loading. Approximately 50% travel is anticipated for this role, with travel durations ranging from 1 to 4 days per event. Flexibility, including occasional weekend work, is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of trade show and industry events participation, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Attend trade shows and events, representing Purple Wave in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to trade show and event participation, such as hotel reservations, event registrations, calendar invites, and pre/post-show requirements.
  • Independently set up, tear down, and load trade show booths and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and refine trade show strategies and presentations.
  • Work with and develop strong relationships with the field sales team.
  • Maintain calendar of events and attendance for assigned territory.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trade show activities, gathering feedback and data for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to trade show coordination and event management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the associations. Monitor brand representation including use of logo at associations, events and other.
  • Interact with other trade show exhibitors to develop relationships and marketing the Purple Wave brand.
  • Corporate Sponsorship for events - research, negotiation, development with local, state and national related industries.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years event management experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing trade show activities and events.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively represent the company's brand.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in various field environments.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic schedule, including weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with travel durations ranging from 2 to 5 days.
  • Knowledge of the agriculture, construction, or government sectors is a plus.
  • Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply
  • Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check
  • Candidates must possess a valid state driver's license.
Working Settings:
  • Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime
  • Flexibility in schedule and ability to work outside of standard business hours including occasional weekends is expected.
  • Expected to travel up to 50% of the time to attend trade shows and industry events.
  • Applicant must live in the region advertised.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including trade show venues, hotels, offices, and other locations related to events.
  • Requires physical activity, including booth setup and teardown, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Compensation:
  • The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
  • Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200)
  • Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company’s cell phone policy, currently $120/month
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment
  • Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year
