Job Summary The Manager of Data Governance will report directly to the Sr. Director of Analytics and be responsible for building a small team of analysts. This role will be responsible for managing data governance and ensure data integrity by leading data management efforts such as creation, implementation, and development of a company wide data glossary. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: overseeing initiatives for improving processes, performing quality assurance testing, monitoring the location and security of customer Personal Identifiable Information (PII), and working closely with our Business Intelligence Manager on gathering clearly defined data requirements and then translating those requirements into technical documentation for Data Engineering. Will be a key member of the Data Governance Council. Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work closely with department counterparts: Business Intelligence and Data Engineering Work closely with Business Stakeholders gathering data requirements and data definitions Build and manage a small team of analysts Lead cross functional teams Responsible for implementation of data governance process and system Monitor the Location and Security of Customer PII Required Skills, Education, Experience: Data Governance, implementation of processes and systems Data-Flow Analysis Master Data Management Data requirements gathering Data Validation Data cleansing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Scripting languages: SQL, Python, R, LookML, etc. Experience using Snowflake, Looker, DBT, Alation or Collibra and other various data systems Bachelor’s degree in business, a quantitative field or equivalent 5-7 years’ experience in relevant field Physical Requirements Physical activities may occasionally include: Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions. Physical activities may constantly include: Communicating with others to exchange information.
