Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Duties: - Provide direct support to clients in various settings such as senior care facilities, assisted living communities, nursing homes, or private residences. - Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. - Monitor and record vital signs as needed. - Administer medication under the supervision of a healthcare professional. - Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary. - Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients. - Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. - Implement behavior management strategies as directed by healthcare professionals. Skills: - Experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred. - Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices. - Ability to effectively communicate with clients and their families. - Strong observation skills to identify changes in client's condition or behavior. - Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations. - Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
