MUST Haves:

• Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS, DBA, DB2, ITIL, or MCSE. (at least 1)
• At least 5 years of experience as a development DBA, with advanced knowledge of large, multi-terabyte databases in a 24/7 environment.

Overview:

As a Lead Database Administrator, you ll play a critical role in managing and optimizing databases within the healthcare domain. Your expertise will be essential for maintaining data integrity, ensuring performance, and supporting critical applications.

Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, upgrade, patching, tuning, backup, and recovery of various MS SQL Databases.
• Capacity Planning: Plan and manage the capacity of database management systems.
• Standards and Procedures: Define and enforce standards and procedures related to database management systems.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization: work with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Database Strategy: Lead efforts to define database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Application Support: Support application development projects by establishing database-related standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS, DBA, DB2, ITIL, or MCSE.
• At least five years of experience as a development DBA, with advanced knowledge of large, multi-terabyte databases in a 24/7 environment.
