Our Jacksonville manufacturing facility has about 250 employees operating over three shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan and assign safe work, implement policies and procedures, recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures that order, discipline, safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained, while meeting production, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Interprets and enforces company policies, rules, and safety regulations.
• Coordinates and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machine and equipment.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, changes in work conditions, safety and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department and shift.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Recommends and initiates personnel actions with Human Resources guidance, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, pay increases, counseling and disciplinary measures.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Maintains satisfactory employee relations with all employees.
• Responsible for shop floor orientation and training of new employees.
• Estimate, requisition, inspect materials and confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Supervisory skills necessary

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Degree preferred. High school graduate plus one or more years of additional study in Business.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a supervisor in manufacturing environment or with other companies in related positions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds with aids.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Required working overtime from time to time to include weekends or extended hours.
