Pure Power is seeking an enthusiastic Artificial Intelligence Intern to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about AI technology and its practical applications in a business environment. The intern will not be involved in developing or programming AI models; instead, their role will be to utilize advanced tools provided by leading organizations (Microsoft/OpenAI, etc.).

Pure Power is an engineering firm specializing in designing big, challenging, and high-profile Solar PV systems. As a full-service engineering firm, we create the electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits and construction, as well as supporting the lead up to the full engineering drawings, primarily interconnection support and electrical/structural feasibility studies.

Duration

This internship position runs from early June to end of August.

Responsibilities

• Research and Application: Conduct thorough research on the latest AI technologies and trends. Investigate new ways to apply AI in various smaller aspects of our employees' work, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
• AI Model Training and Implementation: Use our company's data to effectively train AI models. This involves understanding the datasets, preparing them for training, and utilizing AI tools to create models that can add value to our business processes.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with different departments to understand their needs and how AI can be integrated into their daily operations. Prepare reports and presentations to demonstrate the findings and progress of AI applications within the company.
• Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning. Participate in relevant workshops, webinars, and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with AI tools provided by leading AI technology providers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new AI technologies in real-world scenarios.

Location

This position will be based out of our exciting downtown Hoboken, NJ Headquarters with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule. We are next to public transportation options from NYC and Northern NJ. We provide a parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office and for those that utilize public transportation, we will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the office. 

Salary Range

$21-27.00/Hour
