Job Summary:

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurate receipt and tracking of all incoming goods including dry goods. Receiving Clerk is also responsible for receiving inventory/rejections into the system using Famous and communicating any discrepancies using proper communication channels.

Responsibilities:

• Check in drivers upon arrival to the DC and assign a door to be unloaded.
• Count and verify inbound loads using the receiving ticket and compare to the shipping manifest to ensure accurate receipt.
• Print, sort and organize all receiving paperwork needed for the remainder of the shift.
• Receive inventory using Famous system and accurately tag pallets to be put up into inventory.
• Verify any discrepancies and send reports (excel/word graphs and charts) to the correct personnel via email.
• Respond and resolve any discrepancies between actual product and associated documentation regarding receiving issues.
• Accurately count incoming dry goods using BOL/Packing slip and tuning into the packing coordinator.
• Create and update the receiving board for accurate and efficient tracking of daily inbound loads.
• Collaborate with Quality Control team to accurately tag and receive correct produce conditions.
• Organize and file EOD receiving paperwork and scan into shared files.
• Perform additional related duties in the department.
• Assist the forklift operators in any way possible when receiving duties are completed.

Qualifications:

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain internal forklift certification.
• Minimum two (2) year(s) experience in a warehouse environment required or related experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety and FIFO.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures, strong team player and safety focused.
• Must be a self-starter; ability to work with little supervision.
• Positive Attitude, hardworking, honest, good decision maker, level-headed.
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment:

• Hours of work may vary depending on business needs.
• This job operates within a refrigerated warehouse, where temperatures range from 45-55°F. 
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to packaging machinery, and forklift truck operation.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; twist; use hands to handle or feel product or packaging; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves walking and lifting, regularly, up to 30-pounds, occasionally up to 50-pounds.
• May be required to go outside in any weather conditions to lock out inbound trucks using glad locks.
• Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities required; employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods is required.
