Purpose: The Shipping Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring shipment quality to ensure that all Customer Compliance requirements are met. This person will provide Customer Compliance training to all Shipping Department new hires. The Quality Inspector will audit shipments, update customer notes, monitor inbound part quality, and review / communicate new compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Read / review customer routing guides Audit shipments to ensure that they meet Customer Compliance requirements Document evidence of good load quality Report audit results with Shift Supervisor Perform outgoing inspection Provide shipping compliance training to new hires Update customer notes with new compliance requirements Assist operations during CI events Perform Inbound Part Inspection to the Distribution Center Document and log Quality Data into Excel Education and Experience: High School Diploma required and/or equivalent work experience Requires a minimum of one to three years of related experience Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Manufacturing or Logistics background preferredQuality Control Experience PreferredData analysisAbility to communicate audit results to colleagues and work with team to troubleshoot problems Team player that’s energetic, reliable, persistent, inquisitive, and has a great work ethic to interact with all levels in the plant Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel Able to work/collaborate with employees across various departments in completing work and achieving goals Able to read & write English; stand for long periods of time & walk long distances Position Type, Expected Work Hours: This is a full-time position Monday through Friday. This position will be exposed to warm and cold working conditions depending on the seasons.
