The Associate Category Advisor will be responsible for supporting the team’s insights intelligence process by delivering actionable data insights to retail partners through routine reporting and data analysis. Additionally, the Associate Category Advisor will partner with the Category Advisor on category analytics projects and the modular process at strategic retailer partners. What you will do:Partner with Category Advisor to develop and deliver actionable category, market and shopper insights to guide category strategies and tactics Participate in modular relay process, make recommendations on category space allocations and develop MODs using space planning softwareProvide routine insights intelligence to key internal decision makers and retailer partnersProvide ongoing support to the Pure Fishing Category Analytics team through report generation, data analysis and insight leadership as it relates to product, placement, pricing and promotions across POS accountsAssist in category optimization/assortment projects. Through gap analysis: analyze, interrupt, define and present impactful fact-based opportunities as it relates to assortment and category optimization opportunities The ideal candidate will have:A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field2-3 years of business-related experience (Sales, Sales Analytics or Category Management)Strategic thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.Strong technical skills (Blue Yonder, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Additional qualifications that will help you be successful in this role:Analytical skills to analyze and identify insights from a combination of large data sources.Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skillsMust demonstrate the ability to mine, develop and communicate data into a fact-based business opportunityKnowledge of fishing industry or angler passion preferredAvailable for limited travel
