The Purdue University Athletics Ticket Office (ATO) is responsible for ticketing five sports (football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball and baseball). The ATO relies heavily on Purdue student employees to work both in the office and at athletic events. Office hours are assigned based on a student’s class schedule and availability of hours. Most student employees work between 5 and 12 hours in the office and split an equal amount of athletic events. Student employees are required to work all home football games and be reliable and dependable members of the ATO staff.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Process ticket sales at the ticket office during office hours and athletic events
Answer questions concerning ticket prices & policies and provide general athletic department information to customers
Provide excellent customer service to John Purdue Club members, Purdue students, the general public and all internal & external stakeholders
Effectively handle and solve customer complaints and issues both during normal business hours and at athletic events
Follow all NCAA, Big Ten and Purdue University rules and policies
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, communication, and problem solving
Follow oral and written instructions
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, and other athletic department staff
Work well as an individual and as a dependable part of a team
Maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and other athletic department staff
Note: This position has the expectation of working many athletic events including every home football game, so working weekends and nights (including some holidays/breaks) is a possibility.
