THIS IS A TEMPORARY PROFESSIONAL POSITION.
This position will support and administer research initiatives within the Center on Aging and the Life Course (CALC). CALC is a multidisciplinary center at Purdue University housed in the Department of Sociology. The temporary professional will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual energized to support the research initiatives and funding pursuits of faculty from across campus associated with CALC. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of aging and life course studies while working in a collaborative and dynamic academic environment. Must be highly organized and able to create positive working relationships with a wide range of researchers.
This is a part-time role with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other relevant sources that align with CALC's research focus in support of faculty initiatives.
Collaborate with researchers, faculty, and staff within CALC and among campus partners to prepare compelling grant proposals aligned with the Center's strategic priorities. Assist with grant budget development and creation and collection of other required documentation for grant applications.
Work closely with Principal Investigators, administrators, and university pre- and post-award programs to develop project budgets, monitor expenditures, maintain accurate records, track deadlines, and facilitate necessary reporting.
BA/BS.
2 years professional experience in program (research / grant) management, operations, or office management. Prior work in higher education highly desirable.
