RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process payroll for all restaurant-based employees by calculating payable hours, bonuses, and ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are accurately configured.
- Monitor changes in payroll-related data, prepare changes, corrections, and/or adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain payroll records for all employees (i.e. pay rates, direct deposit, deductions, tax documents, etc.)
- Verify submitted payroll information for proper account codes, pay rates, and related data.
- Responds to and resolves any inquiries from employees regarding payroll-related matters.
- Assist employees in completing necessary payroll documentation and forms.
- Ensure internal controls are met for to ensure payroll accuracy for each pay period.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure all necessary employee paperwork is completed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency Excel/Google Sheets and payroll software programs.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
