Punahou School is actively recruiting a temporary part-time no benefits, English Faculty member for the spring semester of the 2024-2025 School Year. The English Faculty member will model open-mindedness, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, and their classes will celebrate the beauty of good literature and the emerging ideas and voices of young writers. Position Details:

• Work Year: 9 Months
• School Year: 2024-2025, Spring Semester
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, Between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs
• Faculty Salary Range*: $23,352 - $47,238, Prorated based on FTE

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in teaching English in a high school setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Broad knowledge of traditional as well as contemporary literary texts.
• Ability and passion for working with a broad range of students.
• Demonstrated mastery of instructional technology in the classroom.
