Job Details:
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Pay Rate: $53-61/hr for locals or $2,059-2,347/week for travelers based on experience
- Shift: Nights - 36hrs/weeks - 7 pm-7 am
- Experience: 2 years of recent labor & delivery experience
- OK RN License or compact
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PALS
- STABLE
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring
- NIHSS
A labor and delivery nurse cares for women and their infants before, during, and after birth. A labor and delivery nurse will monitor mothers and children, provide postpartum care, and educate new mothers about the care of their newborns.
- Meeting with expectant mothers for prenatal visits and providing care for normal and problematic pregnancies.
- Teaching childbirth preparation classes.
- Providing information, guidance, and hands-on clinical care to pregnant women.
- Monitoring fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
- Coaching women, assisting with any complications and administering medications during birth.
