Pulse Clinical Alliance is hiring a Cath Lab Tech in Passaic, NJ.

Job Details:

Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $60/hr for locals OR $2,562/week for travelers
Shift: Days - Monday-Friday - On call every third weekend
Experience: 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience

Requirements:

NJ Cath Lab Tech license
BLS

Job Description:

A cardiology technician, or electrocardiograph technician, works with doctors to diagnose heart and blood vessel disorders by testing the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients. Their duties include preparing patients for EKG tests, recording diagnostic procedures for physicians to relay to patients, and maintaining technical equipment.

Conducting electrocardiogram (EKG), phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests by using electronic equipment.
Ensuring cardiology patients are comfortable by answering any questions they have about the tests.
Recording the results of cardiological tests and consulting with the physician on duty to schedule any follow-up tests.
Assisting physicians during non-evasive cardiological procedures by monitoring the patients' heart rates and alerting the physicians to any readings outside normal ranges.
Maintaining cardiological equipment and supplies with daily cleanings and adjustments.
