QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license/CDL
• Pass the drug/alcohol test
• Valid DOT Physical

REPORTS TO: Diesel Mechanic Supervisor

JOB GOAL: Assist the Director of Transportation in maintaining the facilities to be a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and an efficient place to work.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Clean, wipe and dust furniture and fixtures in interior office areas and clean shop.
2. Clean, mop and buff floors in interior office areas.
3. Mow the grass, weed the fence line and flowers and keep the grounds policed.
4. Perform minor maintenance repair and upkeep in the transportation area, (such as, painting, carpentry, plumbing, washing windows, etc.)
5. Report for drug/alcohol testing as required by Board policy.
6. Transport buses when needed.
7. Perform some heavy lifting.
8. Perform work in extreme weather conditions.
9. Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
10. Other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 3 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($11.10/hr. - $20.50/hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days, 4 hours per day

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
