POSITION TITLE: ACADEMIC INTERVENTIONIST (Temporary Grant Position)

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma required (Valid teaching certificate preferred)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To aid and support teachers in implementing the instructional program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide instructional support services in the area of math under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
2. Assist in planning and implementing the learning environment, setting up learning centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
3. Provide individualized and small group instruction as directed by the classroom teacher.
4. Monitor student work as assigned by the classroom teacher.
5. Praise and reinforce the achievement of students.
6. Report student progress to the classroom teacher.
7. Work with the classroom teacher to assess student progress.
8. Debrief daily regarding student performance and instructional interaction.
9. Perform duties under the direction of the classroom teacher.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: $15.00 an hour
Length: Monday - Thursday, 3 hrs/day (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) from October 16, 2023 through April 25, 2023

EVALUATION:

The performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Support Staff personnel.
