Position Summary:
As the Bar Manager, you will play a crucial role in the overall success of our establishment. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and contributing to the positive atmosphere of the Pulaski Club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bar management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.
Responsibilities:
1. Cash Management:
- Balancing and managing cash drawers.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Implementing efficient cash handling procedures.
2. Event Management:
- Booking weekly entertainment and special events.
- Coordinating with vendors and performers.
- Managing and taking banquet hall bookings for private events.
3. Staff Management:
- Supervising and managing bartenders and maintainers.
- Creating and maintaining staff schedules.
- Providing training on drinks, cash management, and specific procedures.
4. Inventory and Supplies:
- Ordering bar supplies, including alcohol and bar snacks.
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels.
- Negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
5. Promotions and Marketing:
- Creating and implementing drink specials to attract customers.
- Collaborating with the marketing team for promotions.
- Monitoring industry trends to stay competitive.
6. Training and Development:
- Developing and conducting training programs for bartenders and staff.
- Ensuring staff is knowledgeable about the drink menu and bar procedures.
- Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial management.
- Familiarity with entertainment booking and event management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
