The primary roles of the Water / Wastewater Operator are to monitor the quality and the use of potable water, collect water samples and maintain data and logs to support potable and wastewater regulatory requirements, and maintain water treatment, sampling, pumping and flow measurement equipment.

Additional responsibilities include :

  • Troubleshoot equipment and / or process malfunctions
  • Coordinate repair and small improvement projects
  • Maintain records for water systems
  • Must be able to respond to emergency call outs to support the operation of water systems
