Description

• Processing the Benefits department’s incoming mail, including opening, scanning and delivering
• Processing department’s outgoing mail and outboxes
• Completing requests from Benefits’ associates for hard copy files and beneficiary cards
• Verifying and researching returned mail
• Managing Benefits’ documents and records in offsite and local storage for records retention purposes..

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience and
• One year of office experience
• Analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to follow administrative policies and procedures
• Ability to be customer service-oriented and maintain a positive attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Time management skills
• Teamwork skills
• Sound decision making skills
• Ability to respond to associates with high degree of discretion and demonstrate a high level of maturity and tact
• Basic Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
• Willingness to be flexible
• Must have good punctuality and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of office or mail room experience
• Knowledge of Publix culture, history and philosophy
• Knowledge and understanding of administrative policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Publix organizational structure
• Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) methodology
• Basic SAP knowledge
• Basic READ host system knowledge
• Basic Retirement host System knowledge
• Basic Stock Management System knowledge..

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in December. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
