**Job Description**

A Photographer is the creative partner behind the lens. A thinker, visionary, artist of lighting, position and elements. With a robust on-site studio/stage, and full in-house production company for studio and location productions, our Photographer is a day-to-day shooter from table-top to lifestyle. The ideal applicant can seamlessly blend stills with stop motion and motion asks. Specifically looking for that amazing eye and talent in the CPG, Retail, Food space. We want our images to be amazing, tasteful, making the product sell and our Client happy each time. You are someone with a creative eye and business insight to ensure quality, efficient image

captures that work across still and motion production platforms. Communication and partnership in this role is key to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, content driven environment.

Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Manages day-to-day set up of photoshoots for products, lifestyle, and brand campaigns

* Photographer of products, lifestyle imagery and brand campaign elements

* Collaborates with production team to manage studio/agency/client team on set to ensure shoot goes smoothly guide & explain activities on set, answer questions, troubleshoot when needed with Producer, reviews and ensures shoot meets client deliverables

* Maintain high caliber photo sets, keep equipment organized, ensure sets are clean and safe, address issues as needed with Photo Assistant, records time sheet of all labor and materials to the proper internal job numbers on a daily basis

* Takes initiative to expand relevant industry/software knowledge and skills and to share ideas to improve photography, creative design, production or enhancements to internal processes & procedures

* Explore new equipment and make recommendations for equipment/set/other studio enhancements

* Provide guidance and development support to photography assistants with production team, keep a relevant studio portfolio of work, technology, capabilities, work experience, skills and education:

* 7 years as a photographer in an ecommerce environment, agency photography studio or similar role specific to: CPG, Food, Set Photography

* Skilled in all aspects of Photography, with strong technical skills, bonus if skills enter motion space.

* Knowledge of design and photo editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Capture One) and other related software.

* Knowledge of Canon and Sony DSLR cameras, and related equipment

* Portfolio of produced photography or creative assignments required with emphasis on CPG, Food, Set

* Knowledge of shooting scheduling, photography, photographic techniques, photography studios, workflow tools, retouching, lighting

* Understanding of standard production scheduling for still and motion workflows

Qualifications/Competencies:

Portfolio must be included that emphasizes creativity, design, lighting and interest in product/image with emphasis on CPG, Food, Set

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail

Ability to creatively problem-solve from idea to execution and aide the creative execution

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Strong attention to creative and client collaboration

Collaborative, able to foster a team relationship with co-workers and all agency disciplines

Critical thinking / using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to opportunities.

Flexibility, willingness to shift gears to meet project deadlines and client deliverables

Associates, Bachelors, BFA, degree preferred, majoring in photography, photo journalism or advertising.
