Public Works Agency is Hiring a Social Media and Web Site Manager Near Minneapolis, MN

The Social Media and Web Site Manager is a motivated, creative individual with experience and passion for connecting with brand online communities. That passion comes through on a daily basis, connecting with brand communities in a way that adds value. The Social Media Manager is instrumental in planning, managing, and optimizing brand social channels and content. Community vision and participation are integral to a Social Media Manager’s success. An essential component is an ability to communicate a company’s brand truth in a positive, authentic way to engage and interact with key audiences.The role requires strong curiosity and passion for learning, as it’s a crucial component for success. Social and “Best Practices” shift constantly.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating strategic plans that drive impact for a company’s brand. Identify behaviors that will make an impact and define how ideas manifest into experiences, platforms, and creative amplification.
  • Developing social media strategy and goals, channel management, audience definition, content strategy, content creation, community management, and paid advertising.
  • Creating, managing, and growing the company’s presence through social channels, paid media, and other strategically relevant online properties. 
  • Ongoing Community management for client social channels including customer support – answering questions and/ or routing when they come in.
  • Participate constructively in agency and client communications.
  • Experiences planning website content, updates, and management. Familiar with modern website content management systems and comfortable adding content.
  • Ability to create website analytics reports based on defined KPIs.
  • Participate constructively in agency and client communications.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Creativity and experience in social media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why ideas are analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, and their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed against goals and audiences
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. 
  • Has technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of various website CMS platforms a plus
  • Knowledge of managing website analytics tags a plus
  • Knowledge of social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrate an ability to organize workload and workflow
  • Ability to work inside of project time allotments

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years industry experience
  • Portfolio or work samples that make us say, “Whoa, that’s cool.”
  • Can-do attitude and with a desire make the amazing happen within a team environment
