Public Interest Registry is Hiring a Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator Near Reston, VA

The Community Relations and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing content and implementing marketing programs with measurable results. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Programs, primary responsibilities include design and execution of marketing materials for key campaigns and optimization of existing programs to enhance community experience and expand audience reach. Additional responsibilities include managing key deliverables, data collection and analysis, and event participation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

CONTENT MARKETING

•Manage the production and publication of marketing communications and engaging content for various channels, including web articles, newsletters, and events.

•Own and manage an external communication calendar for key initiatives, working closely with other marketing and team members to ensure their content plans are represented/incorporated.

•Ensure consistency in content development across community marketing efforts.

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

•Responsible for day-to-day project management of key marketing deliverables, ensuring all project stakeholders/personnel are kept up to date and that deadlines and milestones are met.

•Monitor and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

•Work with the Marketing team to execute strategic marketing plans and map out tasks needed for implementation. 

•Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.

PARTNERSHIP ENGAGEMENT

•Support execution of outreach strategy to engage and build relationships with key community stakeholders.

•Create engaging and educational content for partners and events to educate the community about the company's programs and resources.

•Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate community engagement into broader marketing campaigns.

Supervision Received and Exercised

Position works under direct supervision from the Senior Manager, Marketing. 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field.

•3 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, or a related field.

•Non-profit experience is a plus.

•Familiarity with the following software/tools: Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Salesforce.com, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.

•Genuine Passion for Community engagement and collaboration.

NOTE: This role requires a versatile professional who can effectively navigate the intersection of community engagement, communications, and marketing to drive positive outcomes for both the organization and its community.

Internal and External Contacts

Internal contacts include working collaboratively with PIR managers and staff. This position will have contact and interaction with the CEO and members of Executive Management. External contacts include, but are not limited to, vendors, and customers.
