SHERO’s vision is to advance equity by eliminating the Black maternal & infant mortality / morbidity crisis across the US.
The primary focus of this role is to provide support and guidance to pregnant individuals and new parents in the community.
As a Perinatal Community Health Worker, you will play a crucial role in promoting maternal and infant health, offering educational resources, and connecting expectant and post-partum moms with essential perinatal education, services and support.
This is a grant-funded, full time, benefitted offer prenatal and social support throughout and beyond pregnancy using a virtual outreach model.
The CHW position is grant funded and renewed annually based on performance and funding availability. Employment is provided by Heluna Health.
The salary for this position is $17.31 per hour. Interested applicants must submit a cover letter and resume. Must be a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana to qualify for this position.
This position is remote and must be available during normal Pacific Time Zone working hours. This position will require travel up to 10% or more.
May be required to work flexible hours. If hired for this position, applicant will be required to provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 prior to the start date;
or have a valid religious or medical reason qualifying the applicant for an exemption (that may or may not require accommodation).
