Responsibilities

This position is in PCG’s Human Services practice area on the Employment & Economic Services (EES) team. The EES team supports government entities to assess, refine and implement initiatives for public assistance programs that help customers achieve social and economic self-sufficiency, such as Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, workforce and infrastructure development.

Some of our main areas of expertise include program startup, workforce development, business process re-design and cross-sector collaboratives.

Our mission is to deliver transformative solutions to government agencies and their partners that improve communities and support individuals.

The team is seeking to add a Business Analyst that will help us fulfill this mission, particularly as we try to expand our services to public health agencies.

The Business Analyst’s (Junior Consultant) primary responsibilities are described below. This position requires creative thinking as well as a detailed eye and excellent communications skills.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can excel both in a fast-paced team environment and autonomously. Experience with government agencies and / or human services organizations particularly in the public health space is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities :

Assists with preparation of written reports, deliverables, and other materials for clients.

Assists with the implementation of major project phases or tasks.

Completes analysis on large data sets.

Prepares and presents agendas and written status reports to and for clients.

Participates on request for proposal writing teams, including writing and coordinating submissions.

Participates in data collection activities including conducting research, note taking and information distillation, and data entry.

Collects and enters project related data.

Develops competency in federal and state policy, specifically federal funding requirements.

Conducts business analysis for the various business platforms.

Other responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Skills :

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze policy and legislation and the ability to work with data.
  • Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and clients in virtual videoconferencing settings, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.

R equired Experience :

Education : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

Experience : 1-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, government, public health, human services or other relevant field.

Demonstrated commitment and passion for working with underserved and diverse populations.

Preferred Experience :

Knowledge or experience with social determinants of health and efforts to reduce health disparities

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role : $55,000 - 62,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 15 %.

In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
