We’re looking for a responsible Maintenance & Facilities Associate to join our growing Facilities Management team. The Maintenance & Facilities Associate plays an important role in maintaining the appearance of our brand new Headquarters and Warehouse buildings at our Novi site. In this role, you will be a valued member of the team responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of these facilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeps building and exterior property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs routine maintenance activities.
• Performs routine cleaning duties.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Manages inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions.
• May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1 years of custodial experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• The ability to work independently
• CDL or Forklift certification preferred, not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally moves up to 70 lbs.
• Frequently standing, twisting, bending, and lifting
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to walk long distances in an industrial setting, climb stairs, reach or grab items in a warehouse or kneel for long periods during projects.
• Ability to work in an office atmosphere, warehouse, and outdoors.
