PTG Logistics, LLC is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Riverside, MO

PTG Logistics is an asset-based carrier and we’ve been in business for more than 25 years with offices and operations across the United States. We service a wide range of industries—from steel and building supplies to bread and ice cream—with great drivers and great equipment. Our company is growing rapidly, and we are seeking an experienced Dispatcher for our Riverside, MO location. As Dispatcher, you are responsible for the ownership of the day-to-day operations with an emphasis on the continuous development of relationships with Clients, Contractors, Customers, and Employees. You will direct the delivery operations of the location. You will have direct oversight of the owner-operators, and manage loading, delivery, dispatch, and client/customer relations.


Responsibilities:
(include, but are not limited to)

  • Oversee accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products
  • Oversee accurate unloading and accuracy of all merchandise received, staged and warehoused
  • Monitor KPI’s to ensure a healthy and efficient operation
  • Monitor weekly reports to ensure financial objectives are being met
  • Monitoring and maintain weekly settlements to ensure contractors goals are being achieved
  • Conduct ride behind and evaluation of contractors to determine skill levels and development opportunities
  • Ensures all claims are charged back to the appropriate driver
  • Recruit Independent Owner Operators and assist in the recruitment of their teams
  • Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed as scheduled
  • Directs and assists the delivery department in accomplishing their deliveries
  • Analyzes scheduling and routing procedures as well as statistical and routine reports for operation analysis
  • Ensures operation is operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
  • Sets goals and tracks all performance-related statistics
  • Responsible for the recruiting and coaching of the assistant manager and all staff
  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all human resources and client representatives


Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma and or 3 years of experience of dispatching in the logistics/transportation industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
  • Valid Driver’s License

The position offers:

This is a full-time position with full benefits and it pays $18 per hour.

2 weeks paid vacation.
