PTCAlliance (PTCA) is a growing, fast-paced, mechanically advanced organization that provides value added solutions to world-wide users of mechanical tubing. This is not “an old steel pipe” business. PTCAlliance is a fact-based, solutions oriented company that is growing each day. PTCA is a manufacturer of welded steel & alloy tubing and chrome-plated bar. PTCA has eight plants in PA, OH, IN, IL and MO; and its products are used globally, in products made by its customers such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Jeep, and Honda.

Function: This position has two primary support roles. As the Maintenance Planner you will assist the Maintenance Supervisors with improving the work force productivity and quality by reducing the risks of potential delays associated with resource planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment. The Maintenance Planner will also have full responsibility of the storeroom and directly manage three storeroom employees to assure accurate and timely receipt and issuance of parts, tools, and supplies needed to support production and maintenance functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process Non-Catalog purchase requests for parts, material, and contract labor need for planned and emergency repairs.
  • Creation of stock reservations for planned work
  • Oversees the Pick Ticket creation for planned work
  • Assist Storeroom function in the kitting and staging of job material requirement
  • Expedites purchase orders with vendors and Purchasing Department as need to support Maintenance and Engineering
  • Assists with planning and scheduling for shutdowns (major and minor)
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Bills of Material (Parts lists) for assets including ensuring current information is accurate
  • Participation in budgetary preparation, tracking, and analysis
  • Assists Issue Clerks in issuing storeroom tools, parts, supplies, materials, equipment, etc.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving of repairs on critical parts both inventory and non-inventory.
    • Arranging trucking for pickup and delivery
    • Creating PR for inventory items
    • Receiving repairs material and delivering to storage location
  • Maintaining and clean and orderly storeroom
  • Assuring receipt of item into computer system – includes contract services same day as physical receipt
  • Ensures physical receipts of material and services aligns with the records received against the purchase requisitions.
  • Receive and forward invoices to Accounts Payable as needed
  • Review and complete the unreceivable report and work with requesters, suppliers, and purchasing to resolve issue in a timely manner
  • Reconciles invoicing issues with Accounting Department personnel.
  • Over sees the delivery of parts and supplies to other PTCAlliance locations.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies and requests wage adjustments for direct reports
  • Oversees the purchase order receiving transactions daily via computer including invoice cost adjustments for accounting.
  • Keeps track of learner and apprentice hours.
  • Generates work orders from purchase orders for items where PTCA machine shop is the vendor.
  • Maintains personnel records for Storeroom Employees
  • Maintains vacation schedule for Storeroom Employees
  • Provides storeroom personnel with information as required
  • Over sees the stores issue transactions daily in computer for shot, banding iron, greases, , roll shafts, etc.
  • Manages and creates the material information records for inventory and non-inventory parts, materials, and supplies
  • Oversees inventory cycle counts, provides results, and actions to improvement
  • Validates and provide the leadership team with inventory adjust request
  • Drive continuous improvement to improve the storerooms safety, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Types letters and reports
  • Performs clerical and miscellaneous duties for buyer(s) as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with two year warehouse or storeroom experience and two years of maintenance or production leader ship experience in a manufacturing environment.

Positions Reporting Directly: Storeroom Issue Clerks and General Utility People

Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, One World and established programs, etc.
