PT Solutions Physical Therapy is Hiring a Remote Risk Management Coordinator- remote, part time

Under general supervision, The Risk Management Coordinator confidentially performs a wide variety of responsible technical and office administrative risk management support functions, including providing information and assistance to staff and insurance administrators; files claims, maintains risk management records, and researches and compiles a variety of reports; performs special projects for and provides responsible and complex technical and administrative support to the Compliance Department; and performs related work as required.

This role will be fully remote and part-time (appx 25 hours a week)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supporting the implementation of the overall risk management program and process for the organization

  • Performing a risk assessment: Analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company

  • Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience

  • Supporting the implementation of health and safety measures

  • Monitors clinics to ensure timely completion of questionaries related to survey readiness

  • Support survey readiness for the practice

  • Maintaining records pertinent to the risk program

  • Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company

  • Ensures adequate end user documentation where applicable

  • Coordinating the implementation of processes, including conducting daily work-related assignments as needed

  • Analyzing data to ensure processes are being followed

  • Identifying gaps and focus areas for escalation and remediation

  • Plans, revises, and implements risk management programs to meet the needs of the company, utilizing TJC, AHCA, and Legal guidelines

  • Author documents related to survey readiness for all types of clinics

  • Acts as a liaison on survey preparedness issues

  • Supported the full time Risk Management coordinator in tracking/trending of risk management information

  • Disseminates information to the appropriate departments and committees, while adhering to strict confidentiality requirements

  • Collaborates to identify and process issues to reduce operational risk and improve patient experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Window-based applications.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Must have demonstrated skill in prioritizing daily responsibilities and crises to handle a heavy workload.
  • Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations

COMPETENCIES:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects at one time

· Sound business judgment and willingness to assist other team members as needed

· Ability to learn new skills and remain flexible to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Preferred experience in incident/risk management or suporting survey readiness
  • Bachelors degree preferred, or relevant work experience
