Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Telehealth)

Psych360, now a part of MindCare Solutions, is a clinician-owned and operated leader in comprehensive mental health solutions for long-term care communities. We are expanding our team and seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated and collaborative group by providing Telehealth Patient Visits to our residents.

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 per year Bonus Opportunities

Schedule: Monday - Friday (3pm-11pm EST)

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to evaluate residents' mental health status
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans based on clinical findings

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for residents
  • Conduct 15-minute follow-ups (on average) and 30–45-minute new patient assessments

Medication Management:

  • The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary
  • Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects

Therapeutic Interventions:

  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to residents
  • Implement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditions

Education and Support:

  • The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Offers education and support to residents and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options
  • Promote mental health awareness and wellness among residents

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions

Quality Improvement:

  • The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes

Emergency Response:

  • Assist in crisis intervention and management as needed, ensuring residents' safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a Registered Nurse; completion of Advanced Practice Nurse Program for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state in which you've applied (OH, PA, WV, FL)
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in long-term care facilities
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners will maintain clinical competency & collaboration with Psychiatrist (we will provide)
  • Direct experience with long-term care communities is preferred as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Active and unrestricted driver's license
