Global Manager, Project Finance - US West Coast based

We operate globally with our headquarters situated in Seattle, Washington. Due to our presence in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, we are looking for a candidate based on the West Coast of the US. This location facilitates easy access to our Seattle office when necessary and fosters optimal collaboration with team members in the Asia Pacific and European regions. Therefore, we are unable to consider applicants located outside of the West Coast of the USA.

What You’ll Do

The role of the Global Manager, Project Finance is crucial to the success of our global project management efforts. As a consultancy, the majority of the work we do is project based - these projects vary in size and scope, geography and the number of people required to deliver the work. You and your team will work closely with Project Managers, General Managers and MDs in each of our 3 regions, and you are the critical point between the project delivery teams and our finance team. Together you all contribute to the smooth running of our company, the growth of PSC, and the satisfaction of our clients. This role manages a small team who are based in the USA, the UK and Australia/New Zealand. Your team also has some responsibility for general office administration in each region.

 Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global Project Finance team by providing leadership and supervision for all project finance Coordinators and Senior Coordinators globally.
  • Drive NetSuite and OpenAir improvement projects that relate to or are associated with project operations functionality
  • Provide project management and governance support to the global teams as required
  • Ensure that SharePoint and office filing/archival system for project documentation is maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with PSC’s quality systems and business documentation standards
  • Ensure project documentation is kept at a high standard, is correctly identified and recorded, in line with PSC procedure and audit requirements
  • Ensure that Project Closure Review meetings are happenings for the regional team, tracking, and maintaining a database of results
  • Develop and maintain tools for tracking such as transmittal logs and a contract database
  • Support project managers by coordinating project/customer meetings, attending and providing notes as needed
  • Organizing and running monthly Project Status Spreadsheet triage meetings
  • Ensure that someone from project finance is attending WIP meetings and providing Finance Team with updates on monthly WIP report
  • Work closely with accounts receivable representatives and/or the wider finance team to ensure that each client has what they require to pay invoices

We’d love you to have:

  • 7-8 years of financial experience
  • 5 years’ experience managing a team
  • Advanced experience working in a project coordination role
  • Strong accounts experience, specifically in invoicing where there are complex client requirements
  • Solid experience performing numerical analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel
  • Strong MS Office experience
  • Advanced familiarity with office systems for project management, time sheeting, and customer relationship management systems (OpenAir and NetSuite preferred)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional and SharePoint
  • Undergraduate qualification in project administration, project management, business or finance
  • Previous experience of working in a global business and managing a global team is advantageous but not essential
  • Prince2 or other project management qualifications are an advantage but not required

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000-$160,000
