PSC Group is seeking a motivated and ambitious Hydroblasting Technician to join our team at a one of the largest petro-chemical plants located in Baton Rouge, LA. The primary responsibility of a Hydroblasting Technician is to safely and efficiently clean the rubber production equipment using a high pressure water jet (9500 PSI Max).
Our employees are our #1 asset, and we invest considerable time and resources to train them well, keep them safe, and provide them with opportunities to gain valuable industry experience. Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available. This is a full-time position with potential advancement opportunities.
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
Pay Range: Starting pay $19.50 with opportunity for advancement
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Utilize high pressure water jetting equipment to clean rubber from production equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain water jetting hoses, rigs, and guns to ensure that they are safe to operate.
  • Wears all PPE, including: suit, face shield, double hearing protection, eye protection, rubber boots with metatarsal guards, and chemical gloves.
  • Performs routine sweeping of outdoor decks and floors.
  • Inspect work areas regularly to ensure that they are maintained.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to continue production.
  • Ability to accept Permits and work independently.
  • Expected to be familiar with all safety standards and procedures regarding the job.
Job Qualifications:
  • Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available 
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a valid TWIC card
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
