Position Summary

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented senior design engineer to join our creative team. As the senior designer engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including preparation of design drawing, collaboration with design team, regulatory permitting, field visits and construction administration.

The chosen senior design engineer will collaborate with the project design team on various design projects including residential, warehousing, commercial, retail, and public uses. In addition to being a good communicator, all candidates should be creative thinkers with excellent problem-solving skills. This position has excellent growth potential for candidates who will be working with a proven team of engineering professionals. This position could be based in either our Warren, NJ headquarters or regional Wall, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD software to prepare design drawings.
• Complete field visits for projects and obtain visual and photographic information.
• Complete stormwater management designs for projects.
• Understand and apply local, county and State regulations with respect to the design requirements.
• Prepare site engineering drawings for various project including layout, drainage, grading, stormwater management, soil erosion and sediment control.
• Research jurisdictional agencies requirements and available data for project sites.
• Complete regulatory/jurisdictional applications for projects.
• Write technical reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate and interact with project clients.
• Coordinate and collaborate with project teams including all engineering disciplines, landscape architecture and architecture teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accurate and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Software.
• Proficiency in engineering stormwater management software.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience in development of site civil engineering documents.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
