Prysmian Group is Hiring a Tax Accountant (FT) Near Highland, KY
- Compiles and furnishes sales and purchasing data to our outside firm for return preparation. Reviews the prepared sales and use tax returns and obtains payment approval.
- Maintains the tax engine to ensure compliance with sales tax laws and application within the invoicing system.
- Prepares the monthly account reconciliation, researches discrepancies, and proposes any necessary adjustments.
- Handles sales and use tax correspondence, internal and external, corresponding to returns, audits, taxability questions, and customer documentation.
- Collects and organizes exemption forms.
- Performs research as necessary to determine taxability and application of state sales tax law to varying situations.
- Organizes and maintains in-house sales tax records.
- Position also includes various federal and state income tax responsibilities and projects.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of tax law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 1-3 years tax experience, preferably handling sales tax.
- Knowledge of various state sales and use tax laws.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word.
