This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off. Employees are guaranteed a minimum of 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location in Prudhoe Bay. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Job Purpose:
The Driller-Oiler contributes to the Company’s success through safe and compliant execution of daily job tasks. Execution of daily tasks are done in compliance with company and client procedures, and processes.
EssentialJob Functions / Expectations:
·Learn, know, and understand the required policies and procedures that drive our required work product based on client expectations.
·Drive, promote and instill a culture of “Safety Leadership” that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it daily; employees go beyond the “call of duty” to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and are comfortable intervening to correct inappropriate behaviors and concerns.
·Ensure work is performed in accordance with Work Execution Standard (WMS) expectations, including work acceptance and planning, work execution and work close out as follows:
oValidate work order, plan, and schedule in accordance with WMS process.
oValidate that work scope is clearly defined and understood to the task level.
oEnsure manpower with validated skills/competencies/training are assigned to the work.
oConfirm adequacy of work plan/procedures/instructions to execute the work are in place.
oConfirm availability of appropriate tools and equipment as described in procedures.
oConfirm that the required risk assessments are completed as required and all sources of energy at the task level have beenidentifiedandmitigatedbased on client standards and expectations.
oStart from the assumption that all work is unsafe – prove the work can be executed safely before proceeding as outlined below.
oAll permits have been completed and verified compliant prior to starting work.
oConduct job toolbox with crew to prove the job safe to proceed (discuss execution plan, review the risk assessment, and review procedures including change management).
oCommunicate with team members specific trigger examples to “Stop the job.”
oEnsure all required tools and PPE have been inspected before use. Look to identify equipment gaps for all the tasks before proceeding.
oWalk down and verify all required energy isolation is complete and at a zero-energy state (verification must be done by acceptable methods, i.e. proper bleed, a device intended to measure or demonstrate zero energy).
oMonitor progress of job, slowdown as needed to ensure compliance to plan/procedure or verify conditions remain safe to proceed.
oCommunicate plan changes and issues with Supervisor for review andapproval to proceed. Document all changes to the work plan.
oEnsure jobs are demobilized as required, remove all tools, excess materials, housekeeping, etc.
oAt job close out verify crew is “all safe” and out of work area.
oCapture relevant details or changes to the job from the work crew and document in the Work Order.
oIf significant details were absent from job plan or Work Order, they are to be marked as “Review required” in the work order system.
oNotify facility of work completion and close out any applicable permits.
oNotify immediate supervisor of work completion status.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Physical Demand/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
·Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
·Standing for prolonged periods of time.
·Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
·Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
·Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
·Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
·Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
·Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
·Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
·Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

·Five (5) years’ experience operating at least one of the following: heavy-duty trucks, compaction equipment, backhoe, excavators, graders, dozers, front end loaders w/Fork attachment and Stinger required.
·Two (2) years drilling experience using Auger type rotary drills, such as, but not limited to, a Watson 3100 Auger drill.
·5 years of commercial driving experience.
·Class A CDL and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
·High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
·North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
·One (1) year experience in or knowledge of the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Alpine oilfields.
·Experience working on the North Slope of Alaska.
·NCCCO Crane Certification w/ TLL.
