Prudent Technology is Hiring a Section 508 / Manual / Automation IRS Tester Near Silver Spring, MD

Prudent Technology is seeking a Section 508 / Manual / Automation Tester with extensive leadership and technical expertise to support an enterprise team. We need all resources available for all three roles.

What You Will Do:

The candidate must possess comprehensive and relevant experience in the disciplines of software development and QA testing practices, Section 508 testing, test report management, federal contract management, and technical team management. The individual shall be qualified in customer engagement and leading teams to manage sprint deliverables and working in Must be experienced in working in a fast-paced and multi contractor environment supporting web-based applications built using leading tools and client JS frameworks.

Job Duties:

  • Provides technical software testing knowledge in performing functional testing, integration testing, system end to end testing, performance testing, load testing, Section 508 compliance testing, facilitation of usability and user acceptance testing (UAT), penetration and other security testing to customers.
  • Applies an enterprise wide set of disciplines for gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements for the planning, analysis, design and construction of a useable Test Plan.
  • Monitors and reviews work performed by project resources to accomplish project goals.
  • Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions.
  • Performs process and data modeling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools.
  • Provides technical guidance in software engineering techniques and testing tools.
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer/stakeholder communication to facilitate scheduled completion of testing activities in a large-scale organization.
  • Ensures compliance with quality assurance standards as defined by TCoE.
  • Provides technical guidance in software engineering and application testing techniques.
  • Manages resources and processes on day-to-day activities.
  • Creates and presents written and oral reports to executive management: financial, progress, etc.
  • Implements, follows, and manages Software Process Improvement and cultivates a software engineering environment that follows industry best practices such as CMMI or ITIL.
  • Works in a SDLC process environment from requirements to implementation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Project, Risk Management, and industry standard tools such as Jira, HP ALM, etc.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Solid understanding of Git/Github/SVN
  • Sufficient database query knowledge with web-service automation experience
  • Software Testing Life Cycle (Requirements Analysis/Tracking, Test Planning, Test Case and Automation Script Development, Test Execution, Results Analysis/Reporting/Tracking, Regression Testing, etc.) and analyzing requirements for testable outcomes
  • Experience operating in fast-paced Agile SDLC, classic waterfall SDLC, and incremental (hybrid) SDLC environments
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills no exceptions! Ability to speak at group events, and to interface with customers.
  • Experience working with customers and users, providing guidance, status, and prompt responses
  • Participate in the release process
  • Prioritize assigned work as necessary to meet project deadlines.

Years of Experience: 8 years
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Immigration Status: US Citizenship / Green Card / 5 years US Residency with work visa

Must Be Eligible to Obtain Government Clearance; Current IRS Suitability Clearance Required.
