The Psychiatric Services Office Administrator assists the Psychiatric Services team. This role is an essential part of the team due to constant client interaction.
This Administrator answers the Psychiatric Services department telephone and responds to emailed requests for services, enters clients’ demographic information and creates/maintains client accounts in the EHR. Also, the role is responsible for scheduling clients, quoting fees to clients, creating Patient Portal accounts, and sharing key information for any telehealth appointments. Every day is different, which makes the role perfect for someone who interacts well with others. Further responsibilities include:
We are looking for you to have at least a High School Diploma and would prefer some college education. The highest priority will be given to candidates that have a degree in behavioral health or related field and have medical billing and coding certification or training. Coursework or training in mental illness and/or behavioral health would be awesome as well.
It will be essential that you possess strong customer service skills since this role requires extensive phone work. You will also need a knowledge of insurance benefits along with strong communication and computer skills. You will need to have some experience navigating and using an electronic health record (EHR) and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

This role serves as a representative of Provident, so displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion will be vital in all interactions. The work hours are Monday through Friday and align with Psychiatric Services and Counseling department hours, when clients are seen (between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM). That'll be a discussion during your interview of how that works.
